Yoga for the newbies and those curious about what is Yoga
A 2 hour general introduction to Yoga class. You will learn basic postures (asanas), with help with your alignment and breath work (pranayama). We will touch on some yoga philosophy. This is a place for those who want to feel comfortable in a yoga class; all your questions will be answered. Choose from one of the following Saturday workshops:

Yoga for kids is a playful and fun way to introduce kids to the wonderful benefits of yoga. We will be using animal poses, lots of games, large balance balls and movement to help increase flexibility in a non competitive environment. Some of the benefits from yoga practice are:
- Better body awareness and balance,
- Greater self control,
- Increase flexibility and coordination,
- learn techniques to help reduce stress.

Bring a friend and try this class for teens 13-17 years. Get in shape for summer and feel your posture improve and strenghten your core muscles. This is a fun and supportive environment where teens can gain flexibility, coordination, increase balance and reduce stress and have a blast at the same time.

Join yoga instructor Claudia Russell , RYT, for this 8th workshop of the Yoga IntensiveSeries at Yoga House at Civano. Prana, the vital energy present in the air that we breathe, is what links our inner and outer environments. This same force interconnects us with all of creation. Through conscious breathing we can know ourselves, heal ourselves and transform ourselves. Conscious breathing is the tool that creates the union between body, mind, emotion and spirit. In this workshop we will learn in depth the most important yogic breathing techniques and we will learn which poses open and prepare the physical body for the practice of these breathing techniques. Open to all levels of yoga experience.
- 30 min introductory lecture
- 2 hrs asana and pranayama practice
- 15 min guided deep relaxation
- 15 min guided meditation
