Class Descriptions

Peaceful Yoga
Breathing, gentle stretching and deep relaxation characterize this practice designed to gradually build flexibility and strength, and reduce stress. Great for beginners and those who need a gentler class or those recovering from injury or illness. The focus of this class is making the poses fit your body's present needs by making suitable adjustments

Yoga Flow

The intention of this class will be to learn foundational Hatha yoga poses (Asanas) that will tone, strengthen and focus.  The poses will be sequenced in a fluid progression that will promote balance, increase heart rates, flexibility and body awareness. Challenging balance postures and restful restorative poses will be sprinkled in as needed.

Hatha Yoga Level 1-2
An intermediate practice introducing more advanced asana as well as some vinyasa (flowing) sequences. The focus is on creating deeper awareness and breath work and meditation.

Hatha Yoga Level 1
For those who consider themselves a beginner and need a gentle and slower pace class. This class will help you understand the proper alignment in the asana to increase your ability to relax in each pose. The focus is on alignment and building knowledge of alignment for each pose.

Pilates Mat Class
Pilates mat exercises encourage greater body awareness and balance. The mat class helps students increase strength and flexibility of the core muscles (abdominals and back), creating more length and tone of the muscles.

Prenatal Yoga
Create greater ease and joy in the body as you move through pregnancy, labor and delivery. Learn appropriate stretches, breathing techniques and relaxation methods in a supportive environment. This class will be on Mondays evening, 6-7:15 pm.

Active Isolated Stretching + Weights

This class is great for people of all ages to increase flexibility, from your neck all the way down to your toes. If you are recovering from an injury, suffer from arthritis, or just stiff and tight, you’ll find this stretching extremely beneficial, and FUN, too. Adding 20 minutes of light weight training is key for weight loss and important for women to help prevent osteoporosis. Come and give it a stretch!

Kids Yoga and Pilates
Yoga for kids 6-12 years old. The emphasis of the class is on centering, stretching, learning basic postures and having fun. The class includes invigorating movement and ends with a guided meditation.

Gentle Back Care Yoga

A gentle class for those who have back issues or would like a gentler class with lots of modifications. This class will focus on gentle stretches as well as strengthening the muscles that support the back and torso.

Yoga for equestrians and friends

A more vigorous class to assist riders and those that want a more intense yoga class. Focus is on flexiblity and movement of the pelvis and core stability. Taught by Jenny Kendall who has many years of experience with horses and helping riders gain more confidence in their riding.

 

Prices

  • Single Class: $10
  • 10 Class Card: $70 (10% discount for Seniors)
  • Kids Yoga and Pi/Yo for teens 8 week series $40 ($8 drop in fee)
